How Beckley Electrical Ltd handles your personal data when you use this website or our services

Last updated: 22 July 2026

Beckley Electrical Ltd (“we”, “us”) is the data controller for personal data collected through this website and in the course of providing our electrical services. We are registered in England and Wales. This notice explains what we collect, why, and your rights under UK data protection law (UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).

1. Website visitors — network and security data

This website is delivered through Cloudflare, Inc., a content delivery and security service that sits in front of our web hosting. When you visit any page, your request passes through Cloudflare’s network edge, where technical data — including your IP address, browser user agent, and request details — is processed automatically to route traffic, protect the site against malicious activity, and produce aggregate visitor statistics for us (for example, approximate visitor counts, countries, and pages requested).

  • What is processed: IP address, user agent, requested URLs, and related connection metadata.
  • Purpose: secure and reliable delivery of the website, and aggregate, non-identifying traffic analytics.
  • Lawful basis: legitimate interests (Article 6(1)(f) UK GDPR) — keeping the website secure and understanding overall site usage.
  • Retention: we only ever see aggregate statistics. Cloudflare retains the underlying network log data for short periods in line with its own policies — see the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.
  • International processing: Cloudflare is a US company operating a global network, so requests may be processed at data centres outside the UK. Transfers are safeguarded by Cloudflare’s standard contractual protections; Cloudflare also participates in the UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

We do not run any client-side analytics or tracking scripts on this website. The statistics described above are produced server-side at the network edge, without cookies and without any code running in your browser for analytics purposes.

2. Cookies

Ordinary browsing of this website does not set analytics or advertising cookies. We do not use consent-requiring tracking technologies. If that ever changes, this notice will be updated and appropriate consent will be sought first.

3. Contact form and enquiries

When you use our contact form or email us, we collect the details you provide — typically your name, email address, phone number, and the content of your message — so we can respond to your enquiry, prepare quotations, and carry out work you ask us to do. The lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract (Article 6(1)(b) UK GDPR). Form submissions are transmitted securely and delivered to us by email using Amazon Web Services (AWS) infrastructure.

4. Customers

If you become a customer we keep records of quotations, work carried out, certification, and invoices. We retain these for as long as needed to meet our legal, tax, and electrical-certification obligations, after which they are securely deleted.

5. Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with the service providers who make this website and our business run:

  • Cloudflare, Inc. — website delivery, security, and aggregate analytics (as described above).
  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) — website hosting and contact-form email delivery.
  • Google Workspace — our business email.

6. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or erase your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
